There are so many choices when it comes to bracelets for ladies and generally that can be a good thing, but it can also be tough when you can’t decide what type of bracelet to get. Jewellery trends come and go and when it comes to bracelets whether its chunky cuffs, layered bangles, friendship bracelets and beaded bracelets they all come and go out of fashion. Classic choices on the other hand like silver bangles and gold bracelets are timeless they look good with any outfit and for any occasion.

At DEMI+CO we get asked a lot of questions about ladies’ bracelets all the time from sizing, styles, gift options to maintenance. Therefore, we decided to put all the questions we get asked on a regular basis below, so that all our customers can benefit. As you know if your question has not been answered below, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can always try our best to help you out.

What is the standard size of a woman's bracelet?

The average size of woman’s bracelet varies it can be anything from 22cm to 15cm and anything above and below that. The best way to see if a bracelet will fit is to measure your wrist see details below on how to do that and then to ask the company that you are buying a bracelet from to give you the bracelet circumference. This way you will know if the bracelet fits before you buy it.

What wrist should a woman wear a bracelet?

A woman can wear a bracelet on any wrist, if she wears a watch and is right-handed then she may wear her watch on her right wrist and a bracelet on her left. Although many will layer a bracelet and a watch on the same wrist. It really depends on your preference or the person in mind you are buying for.

What side does a woman wear a bracelet?

See answer above for this question, it depends on the personal preference.

Is it OK to wear bracelets on both wrists?

Yes, it is ok to wear bracelets on both wrists, in many cultures it is necessary to wear bracelets on both wrists. It totally depends on your preferences and how you feel, as well as the size of the bracelets and the fit. If you wear a chunkier bracelet or cuff you may want to wear that as a stand-alone piece. If you have thinner lighter bracelets you may want to spread them out on both wrists or stack them on one.

How do I know my bracelet size?

The best way to find out your bracelet size is to measure it with a textile measuring tape or if you don’t have one of these use a piece of string or ribbon wrap around your wrist and make a mark on where the two piece of ribbon or string meet. You may want to tighten or loosen the string depending on how loose or tight you want the bracelet to be, use a ruler to then check the measurement of your string and that will be your bracelet fit.

How should a bead bracelet fit?

This depends on the type of bracelet, if you are wearing a beaded bracelet or a bracelet that has a bit of give like gold then you can go for a closer, tighter fit. If you are wearing a bangle type of bracelet then you may want to go for a slightly looser fit so it fits over your hand. The best thing would be to find out your wrist measurement and then compare it against the bracelet size that you have in mind. Most descriptions will give you an idea of the fit and you can compare it against that.

Can I wear a bracelet with my watch?

Yes, you can wear a bracelet with your watch, ensure the colours of each are complimentary and don’t clash. A black watch looks great with silver or gold, a navy watch also looks good with brown, leather, silver or gold. Just remember not to over do it with too many bangles and also ensure that none of the bangles scratch your watch.

What hand do you wear your good luck bracelet on?

You can wear a good luck bracelet on any hand you want, many cultures and traditions have certain wrists to wear certain bracelets on but on a general scale it really depends on where you want to wear it. There are many beliefs that good luck bracelets and crystal bracelets should be worn on the left but again that is very personal choice.

How many bracelets should you wear?

Again there is no hard or fast rule as to how many bracelets you should wear, as many as you feel comfortable really. If you are going to be in a formal setting such as work or an office then no more than two but if you are in an informal situation or on the weekend there is no rule, as many or as little as you want.
