One of the biggest trends of 2019 was the layered necklace and its a trend that's here to stay for 2020, so its time to get your head round this style if you haven't already. If you are wondering why layer in the first place, well that is totally up to you but layering different necklaces adds intrigue, a sense of style without making you look like a trend victim. It’s also your opportunity to show off your own individual personality so why not have some fun and give it a go, but before you do cast your eyes over the below and you should be set.

If you’d rather have the layered necklace already done for you why not check out our DEMI+CO range Luna, Nicole and Valentina necklace.

Step 1: Spacing

Try and ensure your necklaces are not overlapping too much, space is very important as you want to see each individual necklace. Try different textures and widths of necklaces to give you some space. Our Not Over You Open Circle necklace is the ideal necklace that will allow you the chance to layer up whilst creating the space for other necklaces.

Step 2: Lengths

Try varying lengths of necklaces to avoid the overlap which will give you the perfect layered look, try a choker necklace, with a mid-length and a slightly longer length necklace. The combination of the three different lengths and style will undoubtedly add intrigue and sophistication to your layered look. Our Luna gold necklace is a double chain choker style necklace which is ideal for your short option. Alternatively if you want to add an extra element of length go for our Yours Forever rose gold Lariat heart necklace.

Step 3: Textures and finishes

Mix matt and shiny, jagged and smooth and combination pendants, T bars and plain chains. Blending different textures not only adds charm but an element of playfulness, the key is always making your layered necklace look effortless. If you are looking for an easier alternative, then our Nicole layered necklace is the one for you. With the correct amount of spacing, textures and lengths this is the fashionista’s choice!

Step 4: Mix minimal with maximum

Always ensure you have a mix of minimal necklaces and slightly heavier ones together, if you mix heavy with heavy then you are going to look weighed down. Try different stones, pendants and chunky with dainty gold necklaces. The choice really is as limitless as your imagination. Our Irina Gold Button necklace is the ideal maximum necklace, mix it with a lighter and longer chain and you have the perfect balanced look.

Step 5: Neckline

What you wear is going to the foundation to your layered necklace look, deeper v necklines will give you the ideal space for a 2 to 3 layered necklace look. A scoop neck can be tricky, necklaces that fall half on your neckline and half on your top can look a tad messy. Play with your neckline and necklaces and the base colour of your top to ensure a uncluttered look that will allow your layered necklaces to take the spotlight.

When we first started DEMI+CO our first few magnetic bracelets were all copper, we never realised the popularity of copper bracelets and copper magnetic bracelets till our first few orders were made and then they just took off. Since then, we have continued to add to our copper magnetic bracelet collection making it one our largest magnetic bracelet collection to date. The dual benefits of copper and magnets is what makes the bracelets appealing as well as the aesthetic rose coloured hue of copper which gives it its warmth and shine. Recent requests of copper bracelets without magnets have resulted in us also adding a no magnets range too.
